Iron Sommelier
Iron Sommelier British Columbia returns! After a successful test last year we are bringing back one of the more unique events across any of our wine festivals. In a true battle of wits, balderdash and cunning, three sommeliers who are experts on BC wine will be tasked with pairing wines with three gourmet courses, and two cheese courses provided by Dairy Farmers of Canada. Each sommelier will present their pairings to convince you they are right and the other sommeliers are out to lunch! After each round, you vote using text to vote (don't forget to bring your cell phone) for the best sommelier pairing in each round. With each round awarding points to the sommeliers, it is a marathon unlike any other that will build your stamina for great food and wine. After all the votes are counted, the Iron Sommelier of British Columbia will be awarded based on total points. With food aplenty and 15 different wines to be sampled, let the endurance games begin.
