Iron Sommelier BC

Announcing the newest foodie event at the Spring Okanagan Wine Festival – Iron Sommelier BC.  A marathon of endurance of food and wine.  In a true battle of wits, balderdash and cunning, three sommeliers who are experts on BC wine will be tasked with pairing wines with different samples of local foods, provided by Sysco Kelowna, and each will present their pairings to convince you they are right and the other sommeliers are out to lunch!  After each round of food is presented, the competing sommeliers move on to the next wine to be paired.  After each round, you vote using social media for the best sommelier pairing in each round.  With each round awarding points to the sommeliers, it is a marathon unlike any other that will build your stamina for great food and wine.  After all the votes are counted, the BC Sommelier will be anointed based on total points.  With food aplenty and 16 different wines to be sampled, let the endurance games begin.  Iron Sommelier BC.... another fresh idea from the Okanagan Wine Festivals.  This is a Get Home Safe event.
